I’ve never had a professional photoshoot before. Will you help me pose?
Absolutely. Most of my clients are not professional models, so you don’t need any experience in front of the camera. I’ll gently guide you through movement, posing, and expression while leaving space for natural, unplanned moments. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and create photographs that feel like you rather than overly posed.
How would you describe your photography style?
My work is cinematic, intimate, and softly editorial. I’m inspired by analog film, nostalgic textures, muted tones, natural emotion, and timeless simplicity. I focus on creating photographs that feel atmospheric, personal, and emotionally honest.
What should I wear for the session?
Once your session is booked, you’re welcome to send me photos of the clothing you’re considering. I’ll help you choose pieces that work well with the location, light, and overall mood of the session.
I usually recommend simple, comfortable clothing, natural textures, and colors that feel cohesive, but there is no strict dress code—your personal style and vision are important. If you’re unsure, we can plan two or three outfit options in advance, depending on the session length and location. The final choice is always yours.

Can you help me choose a location?
Yes. I’m happy to suggest locations that complement the mood you want to create. This may be a studio, an urban setting, an outdoor location, or a place that feels personal to you. I always consider the light, atmosphere, privacy, accessibility, and any permit requirements.
Is studio rental included in the session fee?
No. Studio rental is not included in the photography session fee and is paid separately by the client. I can help you choose a studio that fits the concept, lighting needs, and budget before booking.
I feel awkward in front of the camera. What if I’m nervous?
Feeling nervous is completely normal. I create a calm and supportive environment and guide you throughout the session. We’ll use conversation, simple movement, and gentle direction rather than expecting you to perform or pose perfectly. Very often, the most meaningful photographs happen in the quiet moments between poses.
Do you photograph couples, families, and personal brands?
Yes. In addition to individual portraits, I photograph couples, families, and personal brand sessions. Each session is approached with the same cinematic, thoughtful, and emotionally honest style.
How do I reserve a session date?
You can contact me through the booking form on my website or send me a message on Instagram. Once we confirm the session details and select a date, you’ll receive a photography agreement to review and sign.
Your date is officially reserved after the signed agreement and the $50 reservation retainer have been received.
The reservation retainer is non-refundable because it reserves your date and covers the planning and administrative work completed before the session. It is not an additional charge—the $50 is applied toward your total session fee.
If I’m unable to photograph your session and we cannot agree on a replacement date, all payments, including the reservation retainer, will be refunded.

You may reschedule your session once without losing your reservation retainer when you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. The new session must take place within 60 days of the original date and is subject to availability.
A second client-requested rescheduling requires a new $50 reservation retainer. Requests made less than 48 hours before the session may be treated as a cancellation. Genuine emergencies may be considered individually, so please contact me as soon as possible.

What happens if it rains?
For outdoor sessions, I monitor the weather and location conditions closely. If I determine that the weather is unsuitable or unsafe for the planned session, we’ll move the shoot to another available date.

How will I choose my final photographs?
Within approximately 5–7 days after the session, you’ll receive a private proof gallery with a curated selection of images. You’ll choose the number of photographs included in your package, and final editing will begin once your selection is complete.
Proof images are unfinished previews and may not be downloaded, screenshot, edited, shared, or published. Additional edited photographs may be purchased if you would like more images than your package includes.

What is your editing style?
My editing is inspired by analog film and cinematic color grading. I focus on soft contrast, muted tones, natural skin texture, and timeless color.
Final editing includes color correction and natural retouching. It does not include major body alterations, extensive object removal, or complex image manipulation unless discussed separately.

Do you deliver RAW or unedited images?
No. RAW files and unedited photographs are not delivered because they are unfinished working files and do not represent my completed work. Your final gallery will include carefully selected and fully edited high-resolution images.
How long does it take to receive the final gallery?
Your final edited gallery will normally be delivered within 2–2.5 weeks after you submit your complete image selection. If you need your photographs by a specific date, please let me know before booking so we can discuss availability.
How long will my online gallery remain available?
Your final online gallery will remain available for three months from the delivery date. Please download your photographs and save a backup before the gallery expires. I cannot guarantee that the files will remain available after this period.
Can my session remain private?
Yes. You can choose whether I may use selected photographs on my website, social media, portfolio, publications, or promotional materials. Your preference will be recorded in the photography agreement before the session.

Where are you based, and do you travel?
I’m based in the Triangle and serve Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas. I’m also available for travel depending on the project and location. Additional travel, parking, admission, or permit fees may apply and will always be discussed before booking.
