Hi, I’m Baira — a portrait photographer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, serving Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and the Triangle.

I grew up in Kalmykia, Russia, and found my way to photography after a career in law. I’ve always been drawn to classic cinema, vintage editorials, and quiet, understated beauty. These influences shape the way I photograph: with soft light, thoughtful composition, and a sense of atmosphere.

My approach is calm and collaborative. I’ll help you plan the mood, location, and wardrobe, and gently guide you throughout the session, so you never need to worry about knowing how to pose.

I photograph women, couples, families, and personal brands. My goal is to create images that feel intimate, timeless, and true to you — photographs that feel more like memories than perfectly posed moments.
